The idea for Tortatos began with a simple question from a young member of the RW Garcia family: Why isn’t there a tortilla chip that tastes like a potato chip? It was a question that intrigued Robert and Margaret Garcia, founders of the family-owned-and-operated leading maker of artisan corn-based snacks, and now they have provided an answer two years in the making: Tortatos, the first-ever half tortilla, half potato chips, that are on store shelves across the country.
