Veggie MixtBag to Debut at Natural Products Expo West 2015

San Jose, Calif. – March 3, 2015 – The leading maker of artisan and all-natural corn-based snacks, RW Garcia, will introduce a new variety in the company’s top selling MixtBag tortilla chip line: Veggie MixtBag. The MixtBag products all combine different flavors of tortilla chips in one bag, and the new Veggie MixtBag will feature a variety of vegetable flavors. Veggie MixtBag offers three types of chips made with stone-ground corn: Spinach & Garlic; Carrot, Tomato & Sesame; and Red Beet & Onion. The unique and flavorful chips are perfect as a healthier alternative snack right out of the bag or paired with a favorite dip.

Veggie MixtBag joins Yellow & Blue Corn MixtBag, Red & Yellow MixtBag, and Salsa MixtBag, and each variety features chips made with two types of Non-GMO Project Verified corn in one bag. In fact, as the first corn-based snack company to be verified by the Non-GMO Project, all RW Garcia products use non-GMO ingredients. They also contain no Trans Fats and are certified gluten free.

Veggie MixtBag is available to retailers now in cases of 12 14 oz. bags, each with an MSRP of $3.99.

Family-owned-and-operated RW Garcia also recently introduced an entirely new 3 Seed Cracker line that is unlike anything currently on the market. The line combines flaxseed, sesame seeds and chia seeds with flavors high in consumer demand. RW Garcia Introduces New Line of 3 Seed Gluten Free Crackers

 RW Garcia, family-owned-and-operated leading maker of artisan and all-natural corn-based snacks for more than 30 years, is now offering a new line of gluten free snacks: 3 Seed Crackers. The line consists of three varieties – 3 Seed Sweet Potato, 3 Seed Kale and a 3 Seed Harvest – that combine flaxseed, sesame seeds and chia seeds with non-GMO corn and other vegetables. The result is a delicious gluten free cracker unlike anything currently on the market.

“We hear from our customers just how popular vegetables such as kale and sweet potato are right now,” says Margaret Garcia, RW Garcia co-founder and vice president of sales and marketing. “With our line of 3 Seed Crackers, we are responding to that demand, while providing retailers with something unique and great tasting to merchandise to their consumers.”

The entire line features Non-GMO Project verified crackers that are rich in omega 3 and high in fiber due to the types of seeds used. The crackers are also free of trans fat and cholesterol.

The new cracker line includes the following varieties:

• 3 Seed Sweet Potato: The inherent sweetness of Beauregard sweet potatoes is combined with stone-ground corn for a light and crunchy cracker.

• 3 Seed Kale: 3 Seed Kale crackers are a superfood delight, rich in antioxidants and omega 3. The kale is blended with stone-ground corn for a cracker that tastes every bit as good as they are nutritious.

• 3 Seed Harvest: These crackers come with naturally sweet pumpkin crackers and stone-ground blue corn crackers together in one box. The two flavors combine to create a delicious balance between the sweet and crispy pumpkin crackers and the blue corn chips.

Chip maker beats production crunch with new Vegas plant

RW Garcia, a family-owned corn-based chip and snack maker from San Jose, Calif., has opened a 63,000-squre-foot manufacturing plant in unincorporated Clark County near North Las Vegas.

The new facility brings 80 jobs, and the first chips have already been produced and shipped to distributors and retailers.

RW Garcia said it opened the chip facility in the Las Vegas valley because sales of company-branded products outpaced production at plants in San Jose and Lincolntown, NC. The new facility at 4780 North Lamb Blvd allows RW Garcia to accommodate increased manufacturing capacity.

“The business environment in Las Vegas really drew us in,” Robert Garcia, RW Garcia president and CEO, said in a statement. “We have seen so much growth at RW Garcia over the past few years, and opening this facility in Las Vegas greatly increases our manufacturing capacity, while still offering room for continued growth.”  [Read More.]
