Mom vs the Boys – RW Garcia chip review

Our family has a handful of items that we keep stocked up on so we never run out, ketchup, peanut butter, cheese and tortilla chips. Yes, we love us some tortilla chips and with a house of picky eaters where it’s impossible to find an item the whole house can agree they love, this is the one! From chips and salsa, to nachos, to the good old dip scooper we adore tortillas!

Recently, we had the chance to try out a new brand to us, RW Garcia. The brand is available throughout Canada and offers a wide variety of flavours such as, Flax,Spice and Thai.

“When it comes to snacking, Nick is a sucker for tortilla chips, so he was all over these. We had a little taste testing of the four different varieties we received. His favorite was the sweet and spicy MixtBag, followed closely by the blue and corn tortilla chips and the cheddar dippers. It’s not often that shape and texture of a snack manages to make me love it as much as the flavor, but RW Garcia managed to snag my full appreciation with their cleverly-designed Dippers.

As an avid salsa and hummus fan, I’m always seeking the perfect gluten free chip. Most of the time I find they are either over-crunchy, too small, or simply too fragile to handle heavier dips.

RW Garcia Dippers are just the right length, keeping you fingers out of the salsa jar… but allowing extra room for double-dipping (not that we would ever do that, right?) This chip has just the right crunch and best off all, it doesn’t fall apart on the chip-dipping job!

Healthy Snacks: RW Garcia Tortilla chip review

My kids are heading back to school on Tuesday which means I have to start thinking about lunches and snacks. I want the kids to have healthy meals with the occasional treat but I also need things that are easy to make and not time consuming. As much as I’d like to make everything from scratch – I, like you, don’t have time for that (if you do make everything from scratch, I am in awe of your greatness).

On weekends I try to make big batches of soups, pasta sauces, frozen casseroles, muffins etc to help us get through the week.When I do buy things for convenience I still look for healthier options. So when i was contacted to try samples of RW Garcia’s tortilla chips I jumped at the chance.
