Are you ready for some football? Or better yet, for some snacking? Super Bowl Sunday has indeed become America’s day for pigging out. It’s estimated that the average consumer devours some 2,000 calories worth of snacks during the game (and that’s just during the game—the pre-game buffet is extra).
But these days, America’s taste for snack foods has gone beyond the mass-market potato chips and pretzels that crowd store shelves. With that in mind, we sought out 10 of the oddest items to feature on the game-day table, from beer-flavored jelly beans to Sriracha-flavored popcorn. Let the feasting—and the football—begin.
