Chips made from both corn and potatoes, Tortatos, are available from R.W. Garcia Co., Inc., which claims the chips have 25 percent less fat than the traditional potato chips. “The combination of white corn’s inherent sweetness and the excellent flavor of red potatoes provides a chip that has the crunch of a tortilla chip with the finish of a potato chip,” the company reports.
Original, salt and pepper, salt and vinegar and barbeque varieties are available in six-ounce packs carrying a SRP of $3.49. Packs also feature images of a corncob and red potatoes. They ship in 12-ct cases.
